I was looking at some jackets online and one of the models had blurred out eyes but the rest of her face was visible. What’s the point of blurring just the eyes? For me it doesn’t matter, I wouldn’t be able to recognize them anyways, but for the average person is just blurring eyes enough to protect privacy? I can’t see how it would be but maybe I’m wrong. If you need clarification I can try to explain it another way, I’m not sure how clear this is

At least regarding older security standards it is highly probable that an individual is not recognizable if their eyes are not visible.

Do those standards still apply now? i know eyes probably are more distinctive than a nose but I was wondering if its enough on its own

For security reasons faces are often completely blurred out nowadays. There are even apps that can automatically blur faces. I understand that people want to remain anonymous, but it can be annoying when you watch a YouTube walking tour video and you can't recognize the faces. It kills the immersion.

No it was definitely just eyes blurred, there was a stark difference. Guess its just a half caring situation
