one time someone i knew (when i was in the dorms) asked me to show her how i curled my hair, so i was showing her and she like went and talked to other people as i was literally trying to teach her how to do what SHE asked me ~ so i was just standing there and she was doing other things …..



so i guess mine is when people ask me to show them how to do something but then don’t listen or are super distracted while i’m trying to help them

i just saw someone who’s pants were saggin’ the other day while i was driving, and i said “get a belt” out loud 😭

Also when I send multiple texts to someone and they only respond to one

My pet peeve is on social media when someone who works in the vet med field/grooming field/boarding field/training field and has been bitten, scratched, lunged at or so on and so forth by specific breeds and the second they say those breed names people are in the comments going like "MY baby would never!"

Like good for you??? Glad you've never had to experience an animal attacking you but people are allowed to feel a certain type of way as a result of those breeds having attacked them a lot. Or people immediatley start attacking small dogs in the comments because they get angry that a large dog could oh...I don't know...kill someone?????

Like those posts aren't going after your specific dog. The person is literally just talking about their experience handling all these different breeds and how from their own PERSONAL experience these are the ones that have caused them the most issues. It's not an attack on that breed. I don't think people get that those who work with animals on a day to day basis typically aren't those animals favorite people ?

So as a result they aren't going to get the sweet cuddly pet version of animals that people get to see when they have these breeds as pets. So it feels beyond dismissive and belittling to have people jump in and be like "Uh I would beg to differ!!!!"

I'm glad you haven't had that experience...but those of us who work with animals on a daily basis do not have that luxury. It's frustrating.

P.S.A this post isn't directed at any specific breeds I just hate hate HATE people dismissing people's experiences because they have a good dog themselves that likes them....the OWNER....you know the person the pet is supposed to like?????

I love animals-otherwise I wouldn't be in the field I'm in but it would shock people that Golden Retrievers are the breed that has bit me the most. That being said when I say that I'm not saying Golden's are vicious doggos I love them but they are the ones I've had the most issues with...not a big deal. That's it!

But yes, basically it's just about being super dismissive of people's experiences because you feel like their experience is attacking your or your dog's existence.
