Every morning before I go to work, I tell my dog to have a good day, to behave, and to eat her breakfast. Tell her I love her and usually give her a kiss on the head (because she takes over my bed's warm spot after I get up to get dressed and leave for work) and pet her foot before I leave for the day. My kitties I just tell not to be brats haha, but I still tell them I'll be back later
