by the way, dont call yourself an idiot. this can happen to anyone, just know that it's not your fault. i was in the room while my parents were being scammed over the phone and i also feel horrible for not realizing: but these things are designed to trick you, you aren't an idiot. I saw a lot of people saying this: these people are professionals. you are not at fault for falling for something that is perfectly designed to do.. exactly that. and, you are not alone in this!

anyone can fall for this. i'm very wary of which links to enter and which not but when i saw it all happen i had no idea there was a scam going on. please don't put the blame on yourself.

I can't help it...it's my life, I've always made mistakes like this....things I can't change...and they're stuck on my record forever...

it's okay. you will be out of this situation soon and you'll learn that forgiving yourself is a good decision! you dont deserve to hate yourself for another person's bad actions.

a lot of people that had this case too said that they just made a new account and didnt give them anything. i dont recommend giving them the money, they could just scam you or keep asking for more. maybe you should look for help outside of the instagram world and maybe somewhere else? like, with the money and stuff?

I rarely use insta anymore besides talking to friends so I already have ventured out of the insta world and I've made my mark elsewhere

then you can either look for help regarding the money/blackmailing or you can just move on to a different account

I thought I was helping out somebody earlier today by helping them reset their instagram acc, but they reset my acc...I'm so freaking stupid...I hate myself...how could I be so stupid

It might sound hard-hearted, but never help anyone at social media that isn't in your circle of trust. And even then you should stay attentive and keep every personal information as private as possible. If someone wants to talk to you and you feel pressured, remember that you always have the option to stop the conversation. Safety first!
