did your/ does your school do the pledge of allegience?
i know for a fact that most schools do, like mine, but i have heard of other schools not doing it.....to me, if my school didn't do it, it'd be so weird bc i'm so used to doing it...

in elementary school, yeah, but when I moved to a new school (out of state) in seventh grade and for the rest of middle and high school, it was the national anthem.

children don't fully understand the concept of pledging allegiance to a flag, so it's not honoring your country or patriotism, it's blind obedience. and that to me sounds a lot like indoctrination. children should be taught to yes, love their culture and celebrate their country's greatest minds, but also to think critically about the state of their country, politics and history.

I did in elementary school, but not in junior high or high school. I think they quit making us do it because we had to move between classrooms for different subjects and didn't want to do it at the beginning of every class.
