No one really notices you in the show unless you're extremely good or extremely bad (e.g. Sohye), so I guess they needed the attention. But still, I don't understand the judges' reaction.

I guess part of it was Soyou is a judge. She said last season she'd be harsher on starship trainees who didn't do well

I did watch the second episode and here are my thoughts:

• Choi Su Hwan is great and I hope we see more of him in the upcoming episodes. Also funny that he doesn't only look like Woozi, but also is small and sometimes sounds like him lmao
  
  
• The company performance of Jyunhao and Mahiro really wasn't that good. I know that they are better, so I was a little bit frustrated to see this
  
  
• I was surprised how many times Seokhwa was shown in both episodes. As we know now he is in Grade C
  
  
• I'm not a fan of Yuri
  
  
• I like Tony and I hope that he will get better. It was hard to watch his video performance.
  
  
• I want to learn something about the AAP.Y guys. Not only my Midam, but also the other two trainees
  
  
• Somehow the blonde guy in Grade D (Kim Min Seo / Urban Works) annoys me. I don't know why tho
• Peak was interesting. Waiting to see how much better he will get
  
  
• Song Hyeong Jun did a great job in leading the Grade X guys. In his first appearance I didn't thought that he could doing that.

He got evil edited-in a way. During the part with the foreign trainees he was shown making stink face then he had a interview reacting to the foreign trainees. This most likely will not affect how Korean viewers see him though.

Panchoa released an article talking about the testimonies of other classmates and teachers. They claim he wasn't a bully.

I feel bad for him of this is true. The other stuff was things a lot of people do. The bullying was the only serious accusation.

JYP seems to want to keep up appearances so they probably weighed the pros and con's of keeping him. He's just a trainee so pretty expendable in the long run for a company like JYP
