Tomorrow's my last official day of high school...
By "official", I mean the last day of classes. I still have to take my AP Spanish Exam next Thursday and I have my graduation ceremony next Saturday! I also don't have to take any finals (since the school has certain criteria that allow you to be exempt from your finals).
I won't do a long reflection here because I'll save that for my ceremony...
But it's been a long 13 years of my life, that's for sure. It feels bittersweet. I hated school but I'll also miss it so much. It was one of my most defining moments and I've had so many memories. It feels surreal that this huge chapter of my life is finally closing. And the best part is? I never have to come back! (until my brother becomes a freshman at my school next year lol). I'll be going off to college and it doesn't feel real. But at the same time, it hasn't quite kicked in yet. I don't feel almost graduated but I do at the same time. If you still don't get it, it's like when you have a birthday, something everyone can relate to. You physically and literally turn a year older but you know this but you don't mentally and emotionally realize that you're older until some time has passed or an event (such as getting your first driver's license on your 16th birthday) has passed.
Today was a really fun and chill day as it's the last day of my 2nd class schedule (we have 8 classes and on some days, you take the first floor, on the other days, you take the other 4). In my Env Sci class, 5 of us played Uno No Mercy (super hard btw) with our teacher. During my study hall, I attended the party for my young author's club and there were snacks. And then right after, we had a huge party where many classmates brought food (we planned this a long time before). In my Astronomy class, we still did class-related stuff since so little were seniors but it was a pretty chill day.
Tomorrow, I have senior field day where we go to our football stadium as a graduating class and have a party. But that's after we have our first two periods. And not everyone goes to that since it's not required and we can literally just leave at that time (but most seniors choose to because it's the last time we're together before the ceremony and that will be hectic so it's a great time to get pics and sign yearbooks)
