I'm making this thread cuz i gotta talk about my new obsession, and my friends don't care as much about it as me. So here i am!!!
Penelope x Colin Bridgerton

I read the book, so i'm gonna discuss scenes from it that might or might not be in the new series.

1. I don't understand why ppl hate Colin so much?

I haven't watched the series yet. The first and second season either, but i read the book discussing the couple's relationship. Yeah i know Colin was a scumbag saying to his mates that he would never court Pen, i agree. In the book tho he says it to his brothers in a privage setting where noone shouldve heard him. But pen overhears it while going home. Colin in the book was pressured by his mother to marry Pen, and honestly i would feel pressured too if my mother insisted i marry my sister's best friend. He was just slow to catch on his feelings, i dont hate him that much for that. The series made him more evil by saying it in public, where people could hear and to his friends , as if mocking Pen. While confessing it to his brothers seemed as a more intimate need for advice. Also in the book he say sorry to Pen in that instant. So why do i see videos where ppl say the book Colin is worse?

2. Lady Whistledown's reveal
In the book Colin finds out first and then to save Pen from blackmail he tells everyone in a ball arranged by Daphne and Simon. People are clapping and the Bridgerton's stand beside Pen. Compared to what debacle the series has made eith Eloise. Altho it is more exciting, i must admit.

Is okay, it's here to toss in my two cents and frustrations about the ship and the fans, series. Smth just for me i guess.

3. They say the ship is boring.

Why is it boring to find someone who you can match with, who was close to you all your life and realize u wanna spend the rest of your life with them???? Not every love story needs to be about wanting to gauge out eachother's eyes and then running into eachother's arms as if nothing happened. Slowburn friends to lovers relationships are beautiful and SHOULD be appreciated more.!!!!

4. Colin is an idiot, and i'm here for it.
Saw the latest clips where he proposes to help Penelope , by being a kind of dating/courting coach. I already see it majorly backfiring for him. He plays the good friend until he realizes what he gonna lose. AND I WANNA SEE THAT SO BAD. OK i think i let out all my emotions for now.
