So my school organises this social work day every year it was today. We visited an old age home.
The old lady (a nice grandma) whom I was assigned to take care of told me how she ended up there. She is suffering from cancer and her son left her there cause' he didn't want to pay for the treatment. I had cried for nearly an hour hearing her it is just so sad. I haven't even met her son once and I already don't like him at all.

I would never let that happen to my own mother. I would do whatever in my power to help her. As long as someone has a good relationship with their family member, why would they ever?

I would never let that happen to my own mother. I would do whatever in my power to help her. As long as someone has a good relationship with their family member, why would they ever?

Well I might have heard from the authorities the son didn't really give any actual reason to why he left her there so maybe she was just a normal mother and as far as I saw she seemed loving

But then again, some people mellow out with age.

I guess I'm just defensive seeing everyone hound on the son due to my own experiences
