I went to a doctor recently because of all my joint issues.
I never told them I can do this one-party trick where I fit my whole body through my arms.
Without breaking my hands apart.
Turns out the average person cannot do that and your shoulders should not allow it.

Yeah when people do that it always weirds me out, it just looks wrong. That being said it does seem not all that uncommon, I think I’ve even seen videos of kpop idols doing it somewhere But definitely not something that can be done by picking from a random assortment of people

I was diagnosed when I was 14

Since my family has arthritis, before that, we were worried I had juvenile arthritis

but you having it too

I can pop my collarbone out

I had to go to physical therapy and sit out of PE in high school because of this, you should see if you need PT

I don't know if it's a syndrome. I don't know what qualifies for that diagnosis. I just know my shoulders are really bad and my ankles too. I don't know about my other joints. One of the people I work with has Ehlers Danlos, and she told me I might have it-I didn't realize you can have it ONLY for specific joints or areas of the body.

She said I might have it but for my ankles. But idk.

I had to go to physical therapy and sit out of PE in high school because of this, you should see if you need PT

I've been to one for my ankles since those are the worst offenders. They pop out or partially pop out multiple times a month. I've been to PT for them after getting I think it was an MRI?

But they still pop out. I've never gone for my shoulders though because I didn't realize how bad it was? Now I'm scheduled to see 3 different specialists. One for my feet/ankles, one for my shoulder, and a rheumatologist since I already have an autoimmune disorder. They were concerned I may have more.

Next time you go to PT, tell them about the possible hypermobility syndrome

Yeah I had to see a bunch of specialists in 9th grade

honestly (I have to be careful ofc) but after the months of physical therapy it doesn't really bother or hinder me anymore in daily life, so it'll prob help you

Like I could forget it's even an issue

tbh when ever I'm "over" smth tho I feel like it never happened
