.... Beginning was very boring and predictable. Loved the dancing in the rain scene and a few others. Hate the dance break. HATE the crotch grab/cover. I found it unnecessary and it cheapens Nayeon. I also kinda feel like it is opposite to the image Twice has. She's a great performer and insanely talented. This was a good song. She didn't need to do that. I don't necessary blame her given the how kpop works. I think the best thing to say is shame on JYP...

The highlight for me was Nayeon's outfits. I liked her vintage one, the stunning red dress, and her school uniform one. The song itself wasn't bad to me by any means, but it's far from my favorite Nayeon song (Pop and No Problemare so far), and I probably wouldn't seek it specifically out in the future. I agree with @StirFriedPanda that the crotch cover is not my cup of tea. She can do what she wants, she's an adult and all that, it's just not something I enjoy seeing in dance moves, no matter who does it. I get why people do it and put them into the choreography and all, but I just think there are so many better and more creative moves to do instead, you know?

TLDR: Outfits good, song okay, choreography mixed.

The song is good. The MV is well made (I like the beginning), but I agree with @StirFriedPanda. We all know and see that Nayeon is gorgeous and sexy. She's also a very good dancer. She don't need 'cheap tricks'.

There's no need for 'night club' choreographies like touching intimate parts (especialy that intimate part) in K-Pop (we already have such crap in US Pop clips). It's not 'adult themed' - it's just crude. If Nayeon wants to do that move (I doubt that she decided it), she can do it and I bet many of her (especially male) fans will go crazy over such scenes, but for me it's a downer of the otherwise good MV.

On the other hand, that's how attracting attention often works in entertainment. At the end of the day, it's all about those glorified pieces of paper that make the world go round.

I absolutely love the song and MV is amazing!! I had to rewatch it to see what everyone was talking about in the choreo (don't know how I missed it) but I was taken aback by that move for sure. Other than that I think this was a great first comeback for her

Having listened to the song on Spotify, I prefer it there. They removed the entire dance break section.

I think it flows better that way.

well, I used to watch MTV whenever my parents weren't around, so I'm kinda used to the crotch grabbing? but the MV overall was just *chef's kiss* - and the song is catchy, too! I do think the video is a little choppy with the silence in the middle followed by the dance break - it threw me off bc I thought the song was over - but besides that, great comeback!

Pretty okay. I think some parts should be longer personally (the 'abcd' hook for example, the outro arrangment). I think in the context of K-pop this is good but if I wanted to listen to something like this then I got early Beyonce

Edit: Men grab their crotch all the time in choreographies but god forbid a woman has sexual agency. Of course my opinion would be different if we know she doesn't want to do it but assuming she does y'all are complaining about sexual and bodily confidence. If you don't like it then now you know, don't watch and watch aju nice instead.

There are other studies, but let's say you are right. Then there's still another problem. And the problem isn't even Nayeon's gesture. The problem is the exaggeration effect.

K-Pop industry: "Nayeon did it in her MV and she got more attention. More attention means more money. We need to surpass this!"

What do you think will happen when such moves get a new standard in K-Pop girl group choreographies? It would be a downward spiral for the idols and another upward spiral for the K-Pop industry. There are already K-Pop fans (or should I call them 'freaks') that seem to think that idols are just puppets. And now these 'puppets' even send sexually explicit signs? When we talk about idols, we don't talk about mentally strong women, women that 'hunt' men. I wish idols would be that powerful.

Instead most idols still have childlike minds and are highly susceptible to toxic fan reactions like bullying and verbal sexual harrasment. And then the industry tells them: "Show them that you are sexual dominant!" That might go terribly wrong.
