A friend of mine has named all her animals after food. There's Cookie, Ziti, Meatball, and Blueberry. I wanted to name my own dog Waffles.

I think it's hard to stay mad if you have to shout "Come here, Waffles!" Just doesn't carry the weight for anger. And dogs are precious and should be forgiven quickly.
