1 semester of Spanish (I hate Spanish). Four years of German in high school. Japanese, a lot of self study, failed 2 semesters in college. French... Why would you have a language where half the letters aren't even pronounced when you talk. French is dumb. Worse than Spanish. I've played around with Korean for obvious reasons. I love the simplicity of their alphabit! I started learning hebrew out of curiosity. Fun language but it was hard to wrap my brain around it. Japanese is my favorite, Korean my second favorite, followed by German.

Spanish, French, and Korean. I'm getting more fluent in Spanish every day, but I quit trying French and Korean a long time ago. Oh, and Italian! I was confident at first but quit that after learning all the forms of "the" and "a". lol

I liked the simplicity of the alphabet until it wasn’t simple I don’t like that when you say chicken on its own, 닭 is pronounced dak, with no l sound. But add a syllable with a vowel after (such as adding the object particle 을) and the L sound is suddenly there? Go away. Either always exist or never exist, don’t do a silly sometimes there or sometimes not situation Its probably still easier than the mess that is English, but I wouldn’t mind even simpler reading.

My moms currently learning Hebrew (she has some background knowledge in Hebrew) but Duolingo clearly doesn’t care about Hebrew when compared to languages like Spanish or German, the audio is almost nonexistent and it’s just not made that well. I don’t get why Duolingo offers stuff that they don’t care to actually finish, it just seems like it would be really frustrating to realize that they don’t care enough to make proper lessons for your language. And apparently Hebrew isn’t even the worst which is a yikes.

Learn Russian. A, an, and the don’t exist at all.

Korean. I’ve only managed to learn some of the basic grammar and the alphabet. The alphabet is actually not hard to learn, so from that on i was able to learn to read Hangul and now I can fully read it.

I’ve tried learning mandarin a little bit too but it was too difficult
