Yes. I was visiting my family in England and my one of my uncle was having a dinner party at his house and he said he had someone that he would like to introduce to me and that I HAD to go. That when he introduces me to his longtime friend which is my husband. He was exactly my type To a T. We hit it off after talking to each other, and after we hung out a couple of times with one another. A year later is when we officially start dating.

And now we married.

The first guy cut the date short, and I found out a year later (when he asked me again and I declined, because why revisit) that he had freaked himself out and that's why he acted so weird. He's in a pretty bad place, mentally, right now, so I feel for him, but I'm not in the fixing people game.

The second guy sounded great on paper, but in practice, he spent the whole night "correcting" my behavior. Like telling me where I could set my drink down (the ledge I picked was wrong), refusing to answer questions I asked at the wrong time, telling me what side of the sidewalk to walk on, etc. I walked away thinking "I will never hear from this man again" and apparently he complained to my friend that I didn't text him later lol. My friend felt super bad, but I told her, next time he complains about being single, now you know why.

I hope I can get lucky like you @Lexie. That sounds super sweet.

My cousin set up a double date with him and his girl friend and her little sister. I could tell instantly my cousin had found the one. They've been married like 20 years and have 5 daughters now. The little sister was a good Mormon girl... I was not a good Mormon boy so I knew it was best I not get involved with her and never asked her out after words. She was very sweet and cute. I hope she ended up really happy.
