those look so beautiful and gracefulThis stuffExcept this is Olympic level, I would be nowhere near that
The ribbons look the most funthose look so beautiful and graceful
but I'd tangle myself up in those wavy things and break a neck with those hoops![]()
Ribbons are fun and easy, you just wave them around, kids are very talented at itThe ribbons look the most funI have no chance with the balls or clubs though
Probably not with ribbons either but they still look fun
Except if you wave them wrong they get tangled (which is a deduction). Oh and you need to toss them tooRibbons are fun and easy, you just wave them around, kids are very talented at it![]()
but but is it safer than normal gymnastics?Trying rhythmic gymnastics sounds kind of cool but it’s not the cheapest hobby![]()
On its own not sure, there’s less tumbling to get injured by doing, but overuse injuries can be pretty intense. That said, my level of ability in rhythmic is lower than artistic, so that may protect me because I won’t be doing elements that are as difficult from a relative standpoint.but but is it safer than normal gymnastics?
from what I've seen it seems safer but that's only to an outsider like meOn its own not sure, there’s less tumbling to get injured by doing, but overuse injuries can be pretty intense. There’s a bigger focus on flexibility which can also lead to injuries. Like this is not usual to see for stretching for rhythmic gymnastics. And overdoing flexibility can easily injure you, especially long term. Artistic gymnasts (most women, though men a little bit too) stretch as well, but they don’t do it to the extent that rhythmic gymnastics demands. I can’t claim that one definitely has more injuries than the other at the moment, but I do know for sure that the perceived injury rate for rhythmic gymnasts is lower than the reality because the injuries come from overuse, rather than something easier to see like the idea that if you do a flip and land on your head, that’s bad. Artistic gymnasts have overuse injuries too, but from different sources usually.from what I've seen it seems safer but that's only to an outsider like me
