If you read the lyrics without any background info, they're indeed a bit misleading. The song is from 1984, things were more relaxed in Rock music back then. You could say that almost every 80s Glam Metal band had misogynistic song lyrics, but even their female fans didn't care. Provocation was part of the show.

Imagine a song like 'Rag Doll' today. Aerosmith released it in 1987. I hope you sit well.
