Is taking another groups' lightstick to a concert disrespectful? (1 Viewer)

i need to know your opinion on this. i dont find it disrespectful at all but i'm getting heavily downvoted on reddit for saying it isn't a big deal.
ex: taking an IU lightstick to a skz concert

I don’t think its that big of a deal. Some groups may not have a lightsticks and some people may not be able to buy multiple lightsticks for whatever reason

exactly, someone told me "would u take another sports team's banner to a football match?" like.. i dont think it's the same at all and now i'm getting downvoted for saying it isnt the same

It happens much more than you think actually in sports. Especially with Toronto Maple Leafs fans, they are everywhere even if that team isn’t playing

i would rather take a lightstick than use my phone light since i find it unsafe to be holding my phone out in a crowd of people, so i'd rather take somehing else but i guess that depends on the country

I wouldn't do it. Not every community is like KPS. There are very toxic fans out there (not only in K-Pop).

yeah i know, luckily i'm broke enough to not be able to afford a concert OR a lightstick so i wont have any issues

i think the only time it may be "disrespectful" if it's two fandoms that have beef with each other and you bring the others lightstick to the concert then that might be.... an interesting happening like i wasnt abt to bring my neverbong to the ateez concert

YES!! i remember seeing this discourse over an aespa concert picture in Santiago de Chile and some MY thought it was disrespectful to aespa because there were a lot of different group lightsticks.. like baby this is latinoamerica too they arent that cheap over here 😭

I agree with this. On an Amino for Directioners, I got called grandma for being 33 when everybody else was younger. I'd keep your questionable opinions to yourself on sites like Reddit (or Amino) bc yeah, there can be very toxic people on there and ydk what reactions you'll get.

You can ignore toxic people on reddit, but it's not that easy to handle them when you meet them on a concert.
