does anyone else find it slightly weird and sometimes funny when commentary youtubers get super dressed up for thumbnails, especially true crime? like for example the thumbnail is a person in full glam in the center and then the title is like.. "This INSANE PERSON did UNSPEAKABLE THINGS for 50 YEARS" or something.

on a lighter note, there's also this girl called natasha l. kim who does kpop videos and she always poses really well in her thumbnails, even when the topic is super unrelated like, she's just serving face card while talking about the downfall of itzy or something.

emotes with caps will be the end of me.

[Moguri]

I actually watch that youtuber

I don't think its weird, as people are more likely to click on a pretty thumbnail than on other thumbnails

So it's weird in a logical context as it's unfitting to the topic, but not weird if you want to win in the youtube game

When someone saids that a KOREAN idol is “insert race coded”. Like now only if it disrespectful for the idol, but you’re also stereotyping a race.

Thumbnails in general kind of make me laugh. They tend to be so overdramatic

Yeah kind of. They make me more likely to not watch though if they’re too much But I know that for some they may get them more interested

You are putting yourself out there to the subs
if it is mild dressing up it is fine
overly done and we have an issue.
