The Japanese girl group is already confirmed with the Nizi Project and we saw one of the Chinese boy groups in episode one of the Stray Kids' survival show although we never actually got to see them perform or hear them speak. It isn't actually unusual for Chinese companies to debut multiple groups in a year so JYP debuting two could be possible...

Well this year many companies pushed out their new groups (rookie wave). TxT and ITZY were their biggest competitors so SM's would've been buried tbh.
In 2020, only Treasure13 is set to debut (or end this year). JYP releases JPN gg and CHN bg, but that doesn't count for rookie awards. Their only biggest competitors would be T13, but YG isn't very loved atm and there have been a few scandals amongst the members & Produce X which we know gets a few strings pulled behind the scenes cuz Mnet.
