I can relate unfortunately. My brother is a heavy cigarette smoker. He would smoke in the bathroom a lot by the window. For years I kept telling him to stop or go smoke outside. He was sometimes be considerate when I was younger. Now he does not care at all and it's really frustrating.

We live together currently and he still smokes in the bathroom. He's taken it a step further by living in the bathroom practically, doing work in there while drinking his coffee and smoking for hours. It's gross and we only have one bathroom. I'd have to knock on my neighbor's door if I really needed to use the bathroom.

Our rooms are across from each other and the bathroom is next to us in the center. So whenever he does smoke, the smell seeps out from under the door. I cant even use the bathroom right after or the smell will attach to my hair and clothes.

The only plus living with him, he pays 2/3 of our rent and is always on work trips. But It's no excuse to ruin your sister's lungs.

It's bad that your brother smokes in the bathroom, but at least you can escape the smoke. But when you sit in a car and you can't even open a window for whatever reason, it's a completely different story.

I hate that smell with a passion. in the past it was allowed to smoke in restaurants and I always struggled because of that because it felt like I couldnt breath. one time it was so bad I started crying, my parents told my grandparents (they were heavy smokers) not to smoke at the table anymore. shortly after it was forbidden by law to smoke indoors, so I was really glad about the change.
tbh my parents smoked too, but always outside on the balcony, but my grandparents did in their apartment and I always dreaded the visit. I even dressed in old clothes because you will also smell after visiting. idk why ppl dont take responsebility. passiv smoking is bad for health too.

on a side note, i'd pee in a cup and give it to him and say it's apple juice and when he's tasted it....tell him this is what you're gonna have to do if he keeps taking up the bathroom like that (i'm kinda mean, sorry)

Next time when you drive with your mother's friend and she starts smoking, use a FFP3 mask. Your mom can forbid to open a car window, but she needs to accept that you want to protect yourself from the cigarette smoke.

The revenge is kinda funny. I doubt ill ever do it but nice one .
