Adding vanilla Greek yogurt to lasagna In my (poor) defense I thought it was plain. Still not great, but better than vanilla? A bit?

I also whipped heavy cream so hard it was almost butter. I wanted whipped cream. It was not whipped cream. Or rather it probably was, but way too whipped

Did you bake it with the vanilla yogurt?
Also dumb question, did it not have a sweet smell when you opened it? I've only tried strawberry yogurt once and it smelled like strawberries so I assume flavored yogurt smell like the flavor that's added in


And same with the whip cream. Still do that sometimes.

There was one time I was making sambar, it's a lentil soup. And there's this special spice mix I have just for all my desi lentil soups. I didn't think anything would be attracted to it. Typically bugs avoid my spice cabinets and the spice mix was in a glass jar.
I went about making the sambar, finished it, went to my classes and came back home. My roommate at the time had some sambar as well. I was making my dinner plate and I looked closely and saw these "seeds" that were all different sizes with ridges floating in the sambar. >.>
Felt suspicious so I checked the jar and there were tiny little itty bitty maggots? worms? in the spice mix.

I hadnt had sambar for years until 2022. the trauma was real.
Now I leave some bay leaves out of the jar, tucked in the corners everywhere and replace them every so often.

Haven't had many cooking fails nowadays, but when I was a kid I did try to cook fish in the microwave
There was so much smoke...

adding too much salt to a pancake mix. I just buy ready made pancakes now. lol

Once made miso soup but almost all the water dried up

not my story, but my mom's aunt once made borscht at our house. instead of adding tomato paste she accidentally added in sambal but we ended up really liking it so now adding sambal to borscht is a staple in our house

i can barely cook but one time i tried to put teriyaki sauce in my ramen and i hated it so i decided to put cheese in
it was so nasty and i couldn't eat it at all

I probably did bake it yeah. I don’t remember details because this was so long ago, I was like 12? As for the smell apparently it wasn’t strong enough to tip me off that somethings wrong
