braces for 3 yrs hated them i have scars all over my teeth from them and now all of my teeth have cavities bc of them the ladies would also be very rude to me and embrass me and i have to go for a check up for retainers and they r telling me i have to wear it 24/7 everyday and im like hell no so i only wear them at night before i sleep

It's just that I got mine when I was pretty young and my jaw messed up + other things so yea

Do you have to get traditional braces or can you get clear trays if you want them?

Nope. One of my lower front teeth is slightly crooked (it is bent inwards), but I don't care.

Trust me you dont want them. They hurt when they tighten the wire or swap out trays and you get a lot of sores.
It's not fun. Brushing is hard with the traditional ones.

When I had them, a few of my classmates at the time wanted them as well so I understand.

I can get like invisalign or wtv it's called (it's like a clear tray pretty sure) but it's too expensive 😭😭 so I have to get traditional

I had braces for about a year before we moved up from Charlotte, and then my new ortho here wouldn't work with whatever I already had in my mouth, so I had to start all over again. Didn't get them off until well into high school. The one here was cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute, though!

I had braces, but I'm free since 2-3 years.
I have a clear aligner, but I don't need to wear them anymore, because I have wire glued behind my front teeth and rubber chain glued behind my lower teeth. They are more comfortable than a retainer/aligner. They can also remove them easily if needed (I had a surgery operation on my upper jaw) and put them back. My doc said she thinks my teeth actually look better now than when we removed my actual braces.

let's just say i spent my whole childhood with them but there are valid reasons.

There were points where my braces kept breaking and i had to start over. Also it was hard for my mom to keep up with payments since it was around the time my grandma was sick. Right now the goal is to take them off since my teeth is straight

I hope you get them off soon, that sounds like a hell
