Can you outgrow kpop? (1 Viewer)

I've been a kpop fan since 2011 and i've had 3-4 bias groups so far. Somehow, miraculously, i am still a kpopper or however the young ones call it these days.
Do you guys think there ever will be a time in your own personal lives when you might quit kpop? If yes , when? If no, why not?

I dont believe so but everyone is different. I see people on reddit all the time selling their entire collections and it feels like they are selling their happiness. I can't imagine parting with all my CD's. Maybe I'm the weird one. I'm also in my 40's...

these days i just stick to my favs for stanning, not interested in getting into newer groups, but as for listening ill probably still be listening to the ends of time even if i dont keep up with new releases. ill still listen to what i know. i cant just drop my good music

yeah, i wouldn't wanna sell my pcs or CDs either, but the thing is my laptop already doesn't have a CD player XD
maybe that's a practical reason why they did it , or they hate their bias now xD

fr, around 2014/15 and 2019 were like periods where i was like im OVER IT!! and just casually listened barely, but then got sucked right back in there may be drought moments but it will always be there in the back of my mind lol

Like rn I haven't been explicitly listening to only K-Pop, and haven't rlly been paying much attention to it as I had last year
But I doubt I'll ever fully get out, I might just get to the point where I only ever listen to my Faves haha

I think your tastes can change over time, but IDK, I always think it's weird to put that in terms of "outgrowing" something. It's not like kpop is Barney.

I think as you grow up your interest becomes less apparent. WhenI I was a teenager I couldnt go a day without following my ult bias groups. I watched all their variety shows, I checked all other new songs out from other groups.
Now...Sometimes I go months without listening to one kpop songs, sometimes however, there might be a song or concept that catches my eyes. Per say ILLIT's magnetic. It wowed me after months of mostly listening to Italian songs.
Now tho, I only listen to the songs I like. I dont know ILLIT members' likes and dislikes and personalities by heart, heck i only know 2 members' names. Who knows what artist would release a next good song to interest me a bit. Good thing ILLIT has been going for the dreamy girly oncept kpop has been missing for years now tho.

I think it isn't possible to outgrow K-pop bc it's for all ages. It's not PBS Kids. lol sure, your interest in it can fade, but I wouldn't call it outgrowing it. I think the term is simply "losing interest"

Well if u put delulu fantasies to music listening yeah. I still listen to songs sung by minors i guess, since i listen to new jeans xD But yeah i dont "stan" groups with minors

ive been into kpop since 2019, 2020-2022 i barely listened to anything else, it was basically my entire personality

covid and the lockdowns contributed to this for sure, but since earlier this year im finding myself not really into kpop, going back to older music and finding new genres - i only keep up with two or three groups

to answer the question - i see myself quitting kpop, but i dont see myself quitting red velvet

that's a good question; I thought too that by now I'd be "over" kpop but then I realized that it's just a hobby and, just like any hobby, one day you might get bored of it and drop it to try something else. so far it hasn't happened because kpop is still entertaining to me.
