Sadly, I relate to this so I know how it feels to be dealing with a parent who’s not willing to listen to you and acts like they’re better than you. I wish there was more I can do to help. You did the right thing by pointing out your dad’s behaviour to him, and what you’re feeling in this situation is completely valid. I hope you continue to stay strong

IDK what I am going to do, I want a job but I don't have a diploma yet and I don't think I can even get one, so I don't have my own source of income yet, I don't even have my ID because I rely on him for that. How am I supposed to move out?

IDK if it will help in the long run, but something my therapist told me when I was having a lot of problems with my parents is.... (paraphrased) what happens at the end of you pointing this out? Do they admit they were wrong? Or do they just throw a tantrum until you feel pressured to back off and apologize? What if you just skipped all of that and went straight to "okay then"?

I still have a lot of problems with my family because they're not very nice people, but at least I've stopped hoping they could ever be different from how they are. And I'm less emotionally involved because I just go "okay then" to anything insane they say.

Good luck to you friend. It's hard when you have nowhere else to go. Once you do, it does get easier, because you'll have physical space. But maybe you can get some emotional space in the interim.

I would say okay then if this was actually fair, he has a child that has gotten away with physical abuse and one that backtalk's everyday but when I say something its a problem? Its harder to let go when they walk all over him
