Did you know that the first puzzle was developed in 1760 to teach students geography? The first puzzles were designed from cutting up sections of a map, so they were originally called “dissected maps.” They started being called “jigsaw puzzles” when they changed the way they were cut, which ironically enough, does not actually use jigsaws. All this to say I just finished the 1000 piece puzzle
