If so, what did you think? I’m curious because I know a lot of users here are American, where if you see currants at the store, they’re usually a type of raisin rather than a different berry. I’ve heard people say that currants taste like raisins, and be confused why, since they don’t realize there’s a difference between black/red/white currants and zante currants. If you’ve tried them, where and in what form did you try them? Do you have a favorite food or drink with non grape currants?

I don’t get to eat them much though because they’re not really sold here. The only times I’ve had them was when I visited Russia, where I tried the black, white, and red varieties fresh, as juice, dried, or in desserts, or the Czech Republic, where I had black currant juice. I love them personally. Ofc fresh would be pretty limited because of the tartness, but a few here and there are great.
