I wouldn't call it boring. It is pretty slow and chill though. It takes patience to watch it. But, I guarantee you'll be in awe with it's animation.

If you prefer action and fast pace with a badass female lead, I recommend Mirai Nikki ;)
But be warned, this anime will catch you off guard :D

the problem is that i only like shounen or shonen ai

.. but why though

shounen is aimed for teenager boys so it has most of things u don't want (sexualisation of girls, damsels in distress, no female protagonists). I'd rather go for seinen that has more mature approach and includes lot more of different genres including different kind of protags, less tropes too.

i used to love anime so much but it lost its appeal after i realized the amount of attention it required for me to sit down and watch with subs since i cant just play it in the background sport animes are the best though

If you can bear to watch dubs, lot of anime these days get dubbed and often they get dubbed almost at same speed as sub is released so you can even follow ongoing animes with dub. I was actually surprised to see how much anime gets dubbed nowadays.

Who even knows why. Dubs are horrendous.

- Paranoia Agent has the best intro ever

- I love AoT cause it has no annoying pervy tropes that are typical for shonen genre

AoT probably does female characters best for shonen, Mikasa is one of the strongest characters and just badass, the antagonist of season 1 was woman, you even have canon lesbian couple. And u have non-binary character with Hanji.

Although I liked Kyo, Ayame was actually my favorite. I had trash taste even back then

I love Hanji
And even the female characters who appear less often, like Hitch and Pieck, I find them interesting and awesome

Is it underrated though? The whole series is actually highly rated. Sadly, I never got into it because I was intimidated with how many squeals and spin offs there was to it, I kept thinking "I'll never have enough time to watch all this" lol.
