If someone said “when I was younger, I was told that how good public bathrooms are reflect the overall status of the country”, would you think they’re insulting the US, or praising it? :susPepe:

i'm shocked :O
Also in many western European ones, especially tourist cities, you have to pay. It’s usually a very small amount, but it’s still similar to a passcode in that sense with some monetary addition. But I more so thought of cleanliness and comfort and whatnot initially, which is why I was confused if it was an insult or compliment :coronawimwim:

Yeah here in romania too. I mean if u have to pay most of the time there are cleaners too that get paid to clean, so i rather go somewhere where u have to pay. Or to a big shopping mall

Yeah in the US we don’t have that but I’m also not convinced that all the bathrooms have consistent cleaners :pepeslippy: It’s been ages since I’ve had to use a paid European one, so I don’t know how the process normally is nowadays, but I could see it being a bit annoying if you aren’t in the habit of carrying spare change. But if that’s not an issue then I think 1 euro or less isn’t a hefty price to pay for not having to check multiple stalls before finding a usable one :wimwim:

I don't think my brain is at its best rn, whoops :haylul:
Ngl I would’ve assumed it was an insult if not for the situation at the time (we were in Europe and kind of needed a bathroom but went sure where to get one) and the fact that that person likes to complain about the way Europe does things. :wimwim: And even as is, I couldn’t think of how the US was supposed to be the better one for bathrooms overall.

I know in west Europe it depended on the location, most were one, some half. It probably depends on country and region too. But it’s also not impossible the price has gone down because it has been a while for me :haylul:
