Hyperopia: objects far away appear clear
Myopia: close objects appear clearly

You may also both know them as near and far sighted. I am myopia ​

There's also anisometropia (nearsighted in one eye, far sighted in the other), or presbyopia, which is age related difficulty with focusing on closer objects. Myopia and presbyopia can also occur at the same time in the same eye to make close and far objects blurry, unlike hyperopia and myopia which cant occur in the same eye Currently I just have myopia.

It’s why there are glasses to correct for both, if you look straight it’s to see far well, while at the bottom it’s for near vision, so if you look down without moving your head too you can read stuff close

Myopia and presbyopia. I also have astigmatism, which is an abnormal curvature in the cornea or lens of the eye. As of my last eye exam, which was 11/29/2024, I am starting to develop cataracts, which are defined as "a clouding of the lens of the eye", mostly caused when aging or injury changes the tissue of the lens.
