Small(er) christmas gifts ideas🎁 (1 Viewer)

I’m not giving ones, I’m asking for them.
So, this year, we decided with my friends that we will only give each other smaller and cheaper gifts, nothing too expensive or fancy (no perfume, jewelry or plane tickets, pls ).
At the end, what matters is the gesture and your love for each other, not the money you put into it.

Please, share if you have any good gift ideas!

When in doubt, I go for nice versions of consumables. Like candles, bath bombs, nice soaps, face masks, incense sticks, hot chocolate/tea/coffee, snacks (like those jars of cookie mix that you can just dump, add butter to, and bake), spice blends that are multi-use ("pizza blends" tend to be really flexible, since they go with pasta, sandwiches, soups, and the like as well), finishing salts or sugars (I usually do sugar, since you can throw it on baked goods, toast, etc. or mix with warm beverages), infused oils, audiobooks or ebooks.

If you're doing kids, then kid tattoos, coloring books, craft kits, candy mixes, and the like. My dad used to buy my cousins large bags of bouncy balls, sticky frogs, or glitter, which has the benefit of both amusing my cousins and annoying my aunt and uncle.

Anyways, with these kinds of things I think the key to a memorable but still cheap gift would be to have a gift that’s made up of multiple other things/customized for the person. Like as an example, buying a box of cookies they like would be nice and appreciated I’m sure, but given that they can do it themselves pretty easily it could be good to add a twist by maybe buying a box of cookies they like (I’ll use plain sugar cookies as an example) and then maybe make a bit of colored icing and decorate them in a way that they’d like or is reminiscent of your friendship. This examples a bit more time consuming, but it could be simpler, like if they enjoy certain snack foods that go well together you can get some and put some of each in a festive bag to make a trail mix type thing of some kind. Not expensive or super time consuming, but the fact that you customize it for their specific likes can often lead people to view it as something more thoughtful, even if they theoretically could do it themselves if they had thought of it

If you have absolutely no gift idea: Steam, Amazon, or Spotify gift cards look a bit boring, but your friends can use them the way they want.

Wow, all of them are nice. Spice blends and cookie mix are something I’ve never tried as a Christmas gift, but they are actually such a good ideas.

Oh yes, for the kids, I always give them something what amuses them, but their parents hate it. 😬

That’s a really good idea. I was thinking about baking cookies, but my boss made sure I don’t have that much free time during the holidays, so I don’t think I can bake. Decorating cookies takes less time and it’s fun. And the final result is a unique gift.

Yes, I always try to give useful gifts and observe hobbies and such things. I think books are always a good gift.
