Some people may desire the perks of fame or of sharing their work with others whilst maintaining their privacy and anonymity. Additionally, one may be insecure in their appearance, not fit particular beauty standards, or simply wants to be judged by their music alone. Having an avatar alleviates the pressure of having to conform.I don't understand why you would motion caputre good vocalists and make virtual avatars of them??? Like, are they not good looking? What's the point of having virtual idols when they're already good singers and dancers??? (I'm talking about Plave and Mave)
People know who are behind the gorillaz though, it's never been a secret. Everybody knows who Damon is. Isn't better we know who these people are so we can appreciate their work? I kinda understand privacy but as a celebrity going into a traditional line of work (as in irl K-pop promotions) won't your privacy be found out anyways? If this was something like Miku or vtubers then I'd get it but I just don'tSome people may desire the perks of fame or of sharing their work with others whilst maintaining their privacy and anonymity.
