Welcome everyone to the 2024 KS Gift Exchange! This will run the same way as every year. What will happen is that everyone will be randomly paired up with another user*, but all the pairings will be secret you will have a few weeks to prepare your gift, and when it’s time, everyone will give gifts to their assigned person! I will go into more logistical details below.

Timeline
The timeline can be found below. While we would like users to stick to these days and times, we understand that you may not be able to for whatever reason. If you need to give your gift before the gifting dates, or if you won’t be able to give the gift until after, let us know in the form, and if anything comes up during the event, dm me and @cherish to let us know the situation.

Signups: December 17th 0:00-December 22nd 23:59 KST
Gift making time: December 24th-Janurary 9th KST
Gift giving time: January 10th- January 16th KST

Who can participate?
Anyone can participate in this event unless explicitly prohibited from gift giving events (shouldn’t be an issue for anyone). One thing to keep in mind is the rule we have about not going through with gift giving events. We understand if you have a legitimate reason that you can’t follow through. If this is the case, please let us know at your earliest convenience so that alternate arrangements can be made for the user you received. If you fail to follow through with the gift without a legitimate reason, you may be banned from gift giving events in the future

What information do I need to include in the form?
We will ask you your username, whether there’s any users you don’t want to be paired with, whether you’re open to giving two gifts, and whether you anticipate any absences that will make you unable to give the gift at the gifting time. If the questions about users you don’t want to be paired to or absences isn’t applicable to you, you can simple put No or N/A for those. And lastly, there’s a spot for you to fill out things you like or enjoy. This answer will be sent to the person who’s making your gift to help them get some inspiration to start, particularly if you two don’t know each other well.

How will gift giving work?
When it’s time to give gifts, you have a couple options. You can give the gift through dms (please include us too if you do this, so we can confirm and check you off), you can tag the person you received and post it in this thread, or you can make a separate thread (if you do this, please tag us as well so we don’t miss it).

*it’s not impossible that you could be asked to make gifts for 2 people. However, this will only happen if circumstances are such that it’s needed and you’ve stated that you’re okay with gifting for two in the signup. You will also be asked about whether you want to accept a second before being assigned a second, and you can refuse if you’d like ​
