I've complained about international fans not being able to vote because we could the first season. IOI was still loved by Korea even with international fans voting. There's not tons of international fans voting so they don't change the results that much. If anything they just get contestants by until Korean fans notice them.

A lot of trainees line up on both sides too. The biggest difference I've seen between intl fan voting and Korean is support for current and former YG trainees. Kim Yohan is still at the top of peoples lists.

As for voting for visuals I think its a little silly to deny that kfans do that. Even though I love Wooseok he hasn't had much screen time to show off his personality and his talent wasn't shown in love shot only his appeal. There really hasn't been anything personality or talent wise shown to the public to make them vote for him but he's in the top 10 consistently. The reason for that is because of his visuals basically. There isn't that many honey10's that would vote for him on the show and even more who don't want him to be away from the group again

Yeah the current and former YG trainees are popular from international fans due to their appearance on YG Treasure Box.

Kim Yohan, Kim Minkyu and Kim Wooseok are also popular too

There are also many international fans defending Minkyu on his skills, saying he was just nervous but still cute.

Yeah I like Minkyu's personality because he's nerdy and I have weakness for nerds but I definitely think he needs more time training. Some trainees pick up stuff faster than others and if he's a vocalist rather than a dancer it may take him a while to develop the dance skills.

I lean more towards trainees that are pretty much ready to debut...some may have already debuted lol. Since i'm switching out Hyunsu and Ziyue I think I have 4 already debuted trainees as my top 11.

Honestly I am one of those who is relieved that the voting is not open internationally.

If Koreans vote for visuals, I can guarantee that the pre-exposed trainees or trainees from big agencies will occupy the majority of the seats if international viewers have a say in making the group.

Such as Peak, Thai fans are crazy on supporting their locals internationally, not that it is a bad thing and it's 100% guaranteed he will have a seat in the top 11. And that becomes unfair because there are plenty of countries who have a much bigger population than Korea...

Me too I like Minkyu and I am fine if he makes to the final line up that's because a trainee like him needs to a bigger group. So, the fans will stop complaining about the line distribution. I predict. He may have a few line distribution but he has a lot of screen time, if he make it. LOL

But yeah like what you said Minkyu needs to improve his skills fast, he doesn't need to be an amazing singer or dancer. All he needs to do is to know how to sing and dance properly. Because right now beside his looks he has nothing, his singing voice was mediocre and his dace was stiff. So, hoping on the upcoming episode his skills will evolve.

For me I am neutral about an international fans cannot vote. Even tough kentz love the visual more at the end they always make a great line up. I know there are some past trainee that deserves to debut like Lee Kaeun from Produce48. But for me the line up that Knetz create to debut was satisfying.

I think he will not be the number 1 but pretty sure he will be on the top 5 or 10 every week.

No offense to Midam's fans. But he was giving me a bad vibes. I find his actions, so vain and impolite. Like he was so greedy to get an attention and acting that he is better and that's so annoying. He was just lucky that he was a former YG trainee that made him to get a lot of fans.

Midam probably would win or Peak.
But yeah either of these two would be kinda... idk, a little bit less eye catching than the current top Yohan or even Dongpyo as the centre of the future group.

I agree that Korea tends to somehow make the line up work at the end.

But I don't know that Midam gave off such vibes to you, feels like we're watching a different show 🤔 Even though he's not in my 11 picks, I think he's pretty harmless, and just doesn't put himself out there to snatch attention as compared to others. But this might hurt him in the long run as nobody will bother to check him out to see what he's doing.

That's one of my problems with it. Last season it especially confused me.

Plus, the international fans voting really do not make up much at all. International kpop fans barely make a dent in awards voting so I really doubt we'd have much pull for a show that most aren't even watching.

I can definitely see both sides of the coin but I think MNET doesn't want to risk having any chance of intl viewers changing up their preferred line up.

One good example would be, let's say Bighit chooses to send in a trainee in future... The intl fandom of BTS as we all know is massive and they definitely will tune in to the show and already have the trainee as a pick within the lineup. Not to say that MNet wouldn't necessarily dislike having this trainee but the opening of voting to international countries can be a hit or miss decision and they'll have to live with this decision for the contract.

In izone case, I do agree that the Japanese fandom should have a say in voting as they did ask for a collaboration with AKB producer.
