I had to cancel plans with a new friend and I feel bad (1 Viewer)

I found out about an hour ago that a class I've already paid for has added a new prereq class that is only offered on the first Friday nights of the month. Miss this month? Sucks to be you, try again next month. And I've already dropped the money for all the supplies.

So I told my new friend what happened and offered to go to the open gallery thing they found next month (this local art gallery only opens to the public on the first Friday nights of the month) and offered to reserve another Friday for them this month, so hopefully they know I'm not trying to be a flake. I know it's tricky when you're figuring someone out, and we've only hung out twice before. Hopefully they won't be too upset.

It's funny how I know my long-time friends would be like "that sucks they changed requirements on you, but nbd, we'll meet next week!" I'd still feel bad about having to raincheck, but I wouldn't have the angst of "hope they don't hate me now!"
