okay, so I was just on 1D's subreddit, and I had posted a thread asking what their favorite Niall solo track was... and then I got (paraphrasing) "YoUr PoSt WaS aUtO rEmOvEd Bc NoT eNoUgH kArMa" like wtf??? I thought subreddits were FRIENDLY communities??? I guess I really just need a list of toxic subreddits to avoid bc idk anymore... like, seriously, they think I'm a freaking troll just for posting that!

i think it's a bot which does all that, i also had my posts removed for ridiculous (in my opinion) reasons so i just stick to commenting on things

This. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if they basically had to require a minimum amount of karma to stop the subreddit from being flooded with trolls. Popular groups are always going to attract antis too.

I barely know anything about Reddit but from what I remember it’s about not being able to post threads until your karma is high, not about removing your posts specifically because of them being toxic or whatever. Is there any intro post or something for the subreddit that may explain it?

It's to stop people who create new accounts from making an account just to bully.
