I had a similar experience but it was a black retractable marker I had in 8th grade… I gave it to him… And my aunt used to teased me about this guy since 5th grade

And guess what… I haven’t seen or talked to him since my 10th grade earth science class

(Not the exact brand but they looked like these but chonky).

There was a guy in Kindergarten who would be a nuisance whenever he happened to sit near me and my friend and if he liked either of us, I wouldn't have noticed a thing I had no idea about love, he could have been as obvious as ever and I wouldn't have known it
