but obviously we are referring to kpop and not western music so we should adopt a kpop definition no?
also I can accept active doesn't mean comeback within the last 12 months as long as the group as a whole does something - I would accept that touring implies still active
individual personal activities of the members of the group - I would not count as consisting activities of the group (like for example BP but then again BP members did partake in their 8th anniversary which I would count as a group activity)

thus for GG since I am less aware of BG

the groups mentioned that I would count as active from moguri's list would be

Dreamcatcher
Oh My Girl
RV
Twice

WJSN still put out some group content like Seasons Greetings but comeback wise it does seem like they've been completely iced out.

Personally within Kpop I'd say that you have to be having a comeback a year at the least which some 3rd gen groups still are like Dreamcatcher, Oh My Girl, Red Velvet and Twice all managed.

With how fast Kpop as an industry moves then 2 years is just too long to sit on the bench and chances are those groups who have willingly done that are winding down their group activities to be every once in a blue moon.

seasons greetings huh? well I would count that personally since it signifies that the group is still around and they are willing to undertake group activities however I also understand and can accept if others deem them inactive or on hiatus

they at least got put into a new division within starship, so maybe they hire new people to take care of them

I have no idea but for the ones that extended their contracts... I thought that would be their plan

remembering the times when most of these groups just debuted and were still rookies makes me feel old 3rd gen was so great though!
