Randomly thought of UKISS again and was reminded of Dongho, who was one of the most popular members of the group, but left the group and the entire industry in 2013.

Anyone else? And I mean entirely left: no solo or indie redebuts, no acting gigs, no hosting gigs, they peaced out and didn't come back.

Most probably ChaeY. SAI kicked her out and I'm sure there is a confidentiality agreement. No other CEO will ever know why she left Craxy. Unfortunately that's the worst requirement for starting a new career in another K-Pop group. I feel so sorry for her.

That's awful. It's crazy how these companies have the ability to handicap their idols so easily.

You've reminded me of D-Unit's Ujin. She was my favorite member in the group and then was unceremoniously kicked out. (The company said she had a "bad attitude" but fans at the time speculated it's because she was the most popular, and she wasn't supposed to be.) She redebuted five years later in S#afla, who released one song in 2018 and then disbanded. She tried to do a solo debut, but I can't find that anything ever happened with that.

So much talent that gets wasted by incompetent companies.

Yes, but a lot of them try to stay connected to the entertainment industry, and many of them do, just without the same level of fame.

Like former AOA member Youkyung, who left when FNC Entertainment decided to ditch the girl band part of AOA, has been a drummer in four bands since, is still in a band, and is a soloist.

Leaving leaving, exiting the band and making ZERO attempts to re-enter the entertainment industry, completely disappearing off the face of the planet, you can't find them except when some interviewer manages to locate and harass them, like UKISS Dongho did is almost more rare, at least among idols you would even think to name for this question.

Even some of the other "disappeared" idols that have been mentioned didn't truly disappear and stay gone... they run active YouTube/social media accounts, have tried to join another group, were on variety shows, etc.

I would disagree slightly since the only ones we hear about remain in the industry and they are only the ones who were somewhat know whilst they are idols

remember there are hundreds and thousands of kpop groups who debuted and the majority of them are nugu and thus we don't hear about them (either whilst they were idols or afterwards)

for every person that you read about or hear about remaining in the industry or having a connection there are thousands more that we don't

I highly doubt it at this point. I believe she'll be more on the variety or tv host kinda market if anything.
