My crazy week attending a wedding. (1 Viewer)

I feel like I'm dying.

It was a lot of fun tho. I flew with the bride, groom, and their families. Reconnected with a lot of old faces I havnt seen since high school.
And I met someone. We kinda vibed and stuck together a lot at the wedding. He lives in my ares but I'm too pansy to text first. Hopefully o.o something happens.

It was my first time attending a beach wedding and first time in Cancun. Sooooo beautiful, but sand gets everywhere and wearing Indian clothes, the sand followed me back home
There was some kinda event and after party every day.
Downside tho, especially getting ready with the wedding party, hair and makeup starts 3-4 am. I tried to do my own hair for a few days but the humidity would not allow anything

I am also known as the girl who keeps falling :)
The second day I got there, I sprained my ankle. The alcohol and painkillers helped, numb the pain
But then the third day, I fell down some stairs and bruised my knee bad. Many others fell too. In our defense, it rained >.>

I fell at the sangeet a lot but the stage was elevated so it was really annoying if you ended up on the side.
I fell at the wedding, x.x the sand was just too sandy.
Fell at the reception, the steps were too wide.

Lots of falling.
There was also cobblestone everywhere. Did not help walking around.
My ankle finally decreased in size by half. It hurts so much now that all the adrenaline, painkillers, and shots are wearing off.
I'll see a doc if the pain doesnt get better in a week.

I'd also like to apologize to my wife for incoherent voice notes I left while, inebriated @Day ily <3 ​

The craziest one is when I kept staring at this guy at the first event and asked why he looked so familiar.
Turns out we went to high school together and he and I were in the same friend circle for a good 6 years. People change a lot.

I was assuming the sprain and injuries were more mild until you said the ankle decreased by half Are you using ice?

But if things progress with the guy then that could be worth it Ans it seems like it was overall fun, aside from injuries and sand. You should keep track of when you finally see sand disappear from your place

Yeah I dunked it in an ice bath the second I got home. I couldnt wear most of my shoes I brought aside from my sneakers and these wrap around sandals. It wasnt pain related, just that nothing fit because of the swelling.
It was interesting during the reception when everyone was in beautiful gowns and heels and I was in flat sandals. But I was determined to dance my ass off and I succeeded there

every wedding i've been to except my brother's (get to that in a minute) have been boring until ofc, we get to the food. I've never been a fan, but it's not my job to tell people how to do their weddings
anyways, my middle brother got married this last Halloween and they invited both immediate families over to their house to have a Halloween party with a quick ceremony on their back porch. It was also really laid back. one thing I don't like abt weddings (BUT STILL RESPECT) is having to wear a dress bc apparently a nice shirt isn't good enough for my mom ;-; soooo I have to wear a dress but at this one, they asked for you to dress nicely unless you wore a costume. They got married in inflatable dinosaur costumes.
anyways, there's my random rant on weddings-

I was most excited about the food and when we got there, it was the worst food ever. We were mostly in a resort area and a 40-50 minute drive away from the city center so I never actually got a chance to explore for good food x.x
But you're right, to each their own since it's someone else's wedding

They got married in inflatable dinosaur costumes.

That is such a vibe Im here for it.

The music and dancing. The music just hit every single day. The radio going to the resort was playing so many amazing throwbacks. The DJ they hired was a very good friend of my brother's growing up and he knew what to play every time. The music at the after parties were top tier.
There was not one bad music moment.
And I made a new friend who is just as obsessed with the new Bad Bunny album and he kept playing his songs on his phone while we made out way to each event.

I'm currently in a gc with the guy and two other new friends who are also local. Planning a birthday dinner next weekend and they're coming
im gonna throw up but hopefully everything turns out well.
