Let’s take a moment to hear from February’s User of the Month @ani07. Thank you for conducting an interview with us

1. How did you come to discover SHINee and what has made you stay with them?

I first discovered Kpop back in early 2010 thanks to youtube recommending me a MV to Super Junior's 'It's You'. I was immediately hooked and threw myself into Super Junior content. Later this year SHINee had their comeback with 'Lucifer'. It was actually the 2nd Kpop comeback I followed (after Bonamana). I think I stumbled upon them in a forum (not sure which one) because someone was posting their teasers and I thought the concept was weird af tbh. xD But for some reason I still followed their comeback and after watching their comeback stage on Music Bank I was so impressed by them, they kinda kept stuck in my head. At that time I was still obsessed wih Super Junior though, but I had the problem of not liking most of their Bsides, so I naturally switched to SHINee after listening to their music and watching more MVs.

Fun fact: I actually thought Jonghyun was the leader at first. I also didnt have a fixed Bias until 1 year later. But Key somehow got me. :)

The reason I stayed with them for almost 15 years now is simple. They make great music. There are only a few songs I dont like. And they have sth that caught my eye, I cant really discribe it. It just clicked. If I really like sth I usually notice withing a really short time.


2. Could you tell us something that most people here don't know about you?

I have a great 6th sense. For example, like I mentioned above, its like my brain knows exactly what I like. So most of the time I know within seconds if I like sth or not - mostly for music, but also dramas or sth else. The obsession level doesnt happen a lot though, but when it happens I become obsessed within seconds. My first was SHINee, my second almost 11 years later with Hoppipolla, and now in 2025 Bossnoeul (they are thai BL actors).

I also started watching BL dramas at the end of last year. To say the least, 99% of the dramas I have watched in 2025 are BL.

Another thing that might be interesting and not many ppl know is, that (its more of a 6th sense thing too maybe) I can judge pretty well if I get sick or not or if my body is fine. I mentioned before that I`m chronically ill and I had to learn to listen to my body and remove everything from my life that is bad for me (mind and body). Sadly most ppl around me dont understand that and keep bothering me, mostly because I had to change my life drastically over the last 2~3 years. I dont say 'yes' to everything anymore and ppl dont accept that. It was a really challenging process for me (mostly because of ppl around me), but I`m fine now I guess.

I also love being alone. Most ppl think that being alone also means being lonely, but I never felt lonely in my life. I`m fine with myself, I know myself and tbh I pity all ppl that make themselves dependent on others.


3. How did it feel to be selected as User of the Month? Did you ever expect you would be given the title?

Tbh I didnt expect it AT ALL. I`m well aware that I`m not the most popular person because I`m so straight forward and ppl often feel offended for their own reasons.
So I was really surprised. Now I kinda wanna know who voted for me. xD


4. If you had to pick 3 people here on the forums to help you survive on a deserted island, who would you choose?

Well, tbh I`d rather be alone or take a strong man to do the hard work for me. xD


5. If you could create a kpop supergroup, who would be the members?

Thats hard to answer, but I will go with this one:
Key (SHINee) - allrounder
Mark (NCT) - rapper
Doyoung (NCT) - main vocal
Wonbin (Riize) - sub vocal
Seunghan - sub vocal / main dancer

I have been reading bl manga since I was a teen. its just a normal thing for me.
also wrote some fanfics in my early kpop stages. it wasnt really on my plate for the last few years...
but bossnoeul have me really bad.

strange enough, I learnt BL before straight romance, always been my thing
