It might be, I hate to admit itNon .com are not taking off yet but still its a cool domain kpop.forum but will just be unnecessary expense towards running the site.
Once i get the forum to the latest version and implement what I've been cooking on, i will probably connect the community with https://opencollective.com/, what I've always envisioned for ks is for it to be self sustainable and chugging along over the years, many mistakes were made like editing core files which makes updating a complex job but trying to offload all off that slowly so in future, anyone can one click upgrade to latest and move the backend to a high availability infrastructure so even if *touches wood* something unforseen happens to me health wise, community won't just vanish into thin air.The KPS domain is Legendary as it is, that's surely not a problem! Anyhow, I would invest in a solid server hardware strategy. With your skills and the love around here, it's the way to go! I'm grateful for every day you're giving us in here! <3
That would be absolutely AMAZING! Totally sold on this! <3 In fact, this would indeed be a future proof option!Once i get the forum to the latest version and implement what I've been cooking on, i will probably connect the community with https://opencollective.com/, what I've always envisioned for ks is for it to be self sustainable and chugging along over the years, many mistakes were made like editing core files which makes updating a complex job but trying to offload all off that slowly so in future, anyone can one click upgrade to latest and move the backend to a high availability infrastructure so even if *touches wood* something unforseen happens to me health wise, community won't just vanish into thin air.
Unfortunately i'm the only one dabbling with system administration though in my day job mainly with networking. The only other one left long time ago around 2019 who was also our main developer. We do have a couple of staff who are developers though i would not imagine they would want to devote as much as i would. Even bringing the frame system up, i imagine myself coding it in bash, thank god for the advances in AI, i just have to debug now and then for errors. That would be absolutely AMAZING! It might also be a good idea at some point, and I'm clueless on whether you have or not, to surround yourself with a couple of solid tech staffs. It requires a great deal of trust but ideally, someone with knowledge that can support you. Not just for your future health, but for the everyday as well! We all have day jobs I think! You're surely no different! <3 Once again, thank you so much for everything you do for us, we really appeciate it! <3
well, I do have some technical skills (thanks to my ex who was in the biz) but truth be told, I'd be much better at fixing your teeth unnieUnfortunately i'm the only one dabbling with system administration though in my day job mainly with networking. I'm sure you'll fare better, truth be told i didn't even use a ready made framework like laravel or symphony, realized that they would better suit my headaches now trying to make redis with database fallback work only for the different layers to conflict, essentially trying to debug 2 different piece of code. Could have also done it through the forum but i have big ambitions to use this system for another applicable use.well, I do have some technical skills (thanks to my ex who was in the biz) but truth be told, I'd be much better at fixing your teeth unnieI would surely devote time for you! However, beyond the basic html and css stylesheets, I'm not sure I'd be very useful to you lol I mean, no disrespect but you IT whizzes are from another planet!
