Did you know that Arron Burr is the only vice president in US history to face criminal charges as vice president? While vice president under Jefferson, he killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel, after which he faced murder charges in both New York and New Jersey. In the end, it went nowhere and he did finish off his term. Additionally, Nixons vice president Spiro Agnew did resign as part of a plea bargain in regards to tax fraud and bribery, but actual legal proceedings took place after he left office.
So this means there has been exactly one president and one vice president to face some criminal legal action in office (Grant and Burr) and exactly one president and vice president to kill someone on a duel (Andrew Jackson and Burr). I guess we can just be happy it’s not more than one of each?
