MM/DD/YYYY is the only viable option, anything else is a distraction :gyuripout:
Distraction from real life !!!

I have a genuine question cuz what if it's 04/02/2020
Is it the 4th of February or the second of April? This is why i think going from the smallest time to the largest is the best, that way you don't get confused

The only reason there’s confusion is because different countries use different systems. If everyone used one system, there would never be confusion, no matter which order was used. Also, with the point I made about English speakers, it seems less intuitive to default to one order for speaking and writing out the date (ends up being MM/DD/YYYY), but default to another system when numbers are involved (DD/MM/YYYY). But I’m aware that that point is language dependent.

I respect your opinion, but then we are back to square one, it's however ppl use it no? Then there is no intuitiveness about it.
Also don't most ppl use numbers for dates, especially for official documents like birthdays, wending dates etc. Etc.?

I was saying that it’s not confusing to not have the numbers go in ascending order. At the end of the day, it does mostly just boil down to whichever one you used more in your life rather than any truly intuitive factor for it. I don’t mind MM/DD/YYYY as much as some seem to because language is inconsistent enough, and having the numbers line up with spoken speech seems to be not harmful at all on its own. But I don’t actually think that because of that everyone should switch to MM/DD/YYYY, or has to prefer it, just because it’s my preference.
As for dates I personally use the spoken month, day, then year (if needed) format more than numerically. In casual speech I’d much rather have someone tell me that their flight is April 10th, not 4/10 or 10/4 depending on the system. And when writing them numerically, I also think the date in that order because that’s just the order dates are recalled in my mind no matter the context, so no matter what I’m already thinking month then day then year. I then convert them to numbers and to the needed date system, depending on what it’s for.

dd/mm/yyyy because that's what i'm used to. even when speaking i'd say 14th march, rather than march 14th. that's how i'd write it too, when writing dates in words. nothing really against mm/dd/yyyy, and i'm ngl yyyy/mm/dd is pretty cool. but i think it really depends on how you were raised, even your spoken language changes that way.

Also if you use MM/DD/YYYY, you get to celebrate pi day. :teatea:
we too can celebrate pi day, especially if you (like me) put obliques to separate dates and months! 22nd july, everyone! @Blood_in_the_Ink @PandaKimbap @seungfloral @eclipsoul @Selfmate @izcream
