Who is the leader you ask? In old Norse, his name was Haraldr Blátǫnn Gormsson. That’s probably not familiar to you, and you probably haven’t heard of his kingship, and his unification of the tribes of Denmark. But if I give you the English version of his name, you may notice something interesting
In English, his name is Harald "Bluetooth" Gormsson. That’s right, Bluetooth is actually named in relation to this king who died in 985 or 986 AD. The idea is that the creator of Bluetooth wanted Bluetooth to unite technology, just like how this king united old Danish tribes. And this is also reflected in the Bluetooth symbol. I’m sure everyone noticed that there’s a B looking thing in the symbol. But you may not know that there are actually 2 letters there. The symbol is a combination of the Younger Futhark runes ᚼ(H) and ᛒ(B), which are the kings initials. And the combination of runes into one isn’t completely artistic license. At different points in history, runes were sometimes combined in writing, though not often later on in time. Pretty cool stuff, right?
