I'm genuinely concerned for my generation. How are they going to manage an 8 hour job if they can't even handle a single class period without it, much less an entire school day?

I will admit, I'm on my own phone quite a bit, I won't deny it, but I genuinely prefer doing things like puzzles (I'm even doing one right now T^T), crosswords, reading, etc than to look at a screen. I would even prefer going back to only paper at school. It helps me keep focused. I actually kinda like the no phone rule. I'll have my phone in my bag and I rarely even think of it. I only got it a year ago, so that's probably a factor as to why I don't care as much. I can willingly put it down to listen in class and do my work.

Am I being too harsh?

I don't think our generation is the problem, at least not right now. Work sucks, and long school hours suck. As important as these things are a lot of us are sacrificing our physical and mental health to just keep going. The system has to change.

mb its not their passion and school isnt for everyone some of the most sucessful people didnt go to school im sure they will be ok i also felt the same and when i needed to lockdown i had a extension where it only let me on a couple of pages so i can only focus on school or you could ask the teacher if they could accomidate u

I'm sorry but this kid was complaining about their phone not working and they literally slammed it on the floor bc their mom didn't have the money to have it fixed right then.. ;-;
