I decided to join a scavenger hunt thing (1 Viewer)

It's for a community of crocheters I've joined: there's a list of challenges for something to make and somewhere to take a photo of it. Like make a bird and then snap a photo of it at a birdhouse.

I have a week off at the end of the month, and I thought it'd be fun to use it as an excuse to get out of the house and go somewhere.

Have you ever done a scavenger hunt? Do you find them fun?

I have done a couple in my time and absolutely loved it! One in hs, and the other with my mom if I recall correctly. Some folks are extremely talented at organizing these!

It's so nice when someone thinks up something fun! It encourages me to participate so that more fun events can happen in the future.

What's a scavenger hunt?

Basically, a game where you move about in the world to complete tasks. It can be something like "solve a riddle to find a location, where you will find the next riddle" until you get to the end. Sometimes you're looking for objects, like in a sense, an Easter egg hunt is a scavenger hunt, just with a limited scope.

In the one I'm participating in, it's about finding real world locations that meet the theme of the crochet art. Like one of the tasks is to crochet a dinosaur and then find a real world location with a fossil or dinosaur (statue). Some of them are easier than others, ha~

There's usually a "winner" in a technical sense, but the real point of a scavenger hunt is just to have fun exploring your community.

Does that make sense? I'm not sure if I'm being properly clear.

아아아아아아아아~ 보물찾기...Thanks so much I understood I also did one but we can't find the clue it was told near the tree we swept the whole area but it was nowhere...We also checked slides then I lost interest and went on the swing...

Yeah, sometimes event hosts make them too tricky, and then it's not as much fun! Hopefully you had a good time hanging at the park anyway!
