And I've been making bread with it every week now. Save a bit of money, take out one decision on what to eat, and it's better than store bought.

Last week's bread was cherry and almond. Today, I'm making cheddar and herb bread. I can't wait for it to finish and have lunch.

What kinds of bread do you make? Ie standard white bread, sourdough, ect (with your additions ofc)

I’m not huge on baking, but the result is enough to convince me to do it sometimes

Currently, it's variations on white bread, since the manual recommends starting with that until you get more comfortable with what bread is supposed to look like at various stages. (I guess plain white bread is harder to mess up? It's always turned out for me anyway!)

And I agree! I like the idea of baking, but until my friend lent me her machine, it was just so much work and tending to that I could only convince myself to do it once in a blue moon.

I know for sourdough you need a sourdough starter, and you need to feed it to it active, sometimes daily or even more often, and you need to have a recently fed culture if you want to bake with it. Nothing about it is hard per se, but it seems a bit tedious. I don’t bake with sourdough myself though

I agree, that sounds like way too much work! I like that the machine cuts out all the steps of monitoring rising time, making sure the temperature is correct to get a good rise, making sure the crust is done to the level you like...

I could never be one of those sourdough people. When everyone was getting into it during the pandemic, I was like... but why?
