Eurovision starts tomorrow with its first semi so it's time for
the predictions

Could be predictions on the winner, could be who's eliminated, could be anything

I'm later than last year but I heard today, the journalists saw the performances and there were some shockers apparently in there

Here's the running order

My prediction:

• whilst Sweden is in the odds to win, I think they will be screwed over by the jury and will be 2nd
• Netherlands: people found their staging to be boring so they will get through to the final but will not win. Def in top 10 though
• Israel spent millions on propaganda again and their staging looks good. They will be top5 because they will have lots of political votes like last year. The public will be censored again during their performance.
• Greece: Will go through semi's, but just barely. Will end in the second half of the final
• UK and Germany: will be higher placements this year than their previous years.
• Spain: I thought they would def be in the top 10, BUT I saw some journalists say that the performance was lacking a lot.
• San Marino: sorry babes, you won't qualify
• Belgium: will shock a lot of people. Journalists said that jaws dropped on the floor. We finally have great staging. They say the LEDs are the trickiest. Red Sebastian teased that there will be lots of symbolics and mindfucks during the performance. VRT says it's nothing like the performance he gave during Eurovisie. Red Sebastian just teased that near the end of the performance, there'll be a big surprise.
• Malta: will polarize. Some will think it's too vulgar. 50-50 chance

Lastly, there'll be drama behind the scenes again but not that big as 2024
Martin Osterdahl will be boo'd at again but Eurovision will censor it

Because I saw quite some positive reactions in the community, but also saw people say he just had his looks going for him.
I feel like his staging will be fire so he'll make it to the finals

I heard something about his staging being unexpected so I am optimistic. The song was meh but I think I might like it more than I do now @Belgizen

i've made peace with the fact that those sauna guys from sweden or that "this is REAL music" slop from austria will win but if a certain slovak man who's taken over my life the past month somehow flops miserably, you'll see me on the news.

but also, here are some predictions of mine:

• poland will do worse with gaja than we did with solo even though everyone and their mother thought it was one of the worst songs known to mankind - those visuals are way too chaotic and the song is unfortunately not the type of memorable that would make you pick up your phone to vote for it. justyna is an icon tho i'll forever be proud that we sent her <3
• louane sweetie i'm so sorry but at no point does that sand-coming-out-of-your-backside staging fit an emotional ballad. france will probably do better than they did with queen la zarra but i don't see them getting higher than they did last year - which i hate to say given slimane's SA allegations
• cyprus is like a temu version of ruzzia 2016 where the staging is just showy with no substance or connection to the song, probably getting a higher televote score than the song itself would but the juries are likely going to tank it unless the guy nails his vocals
• italy will do better than most eurovision stans on the internet think - in a year filled with upbeat songs, this simple, slower song with minimalistic staging should find its audience which would get them a decent place.
• sweden is probably getting their 8th win - unlike with 2024 and 2023 where the jury winners had barely any competition, i genuinely do not believe in an austria jury landslide so unless they tank sweden like they never did, their televote score will be enough to have them win the whole thing
• that azerbaijan song is probably getting 0 points idk it's just... there

I think the prison state that is Australia will qualify but the juries will DECIMATE him in the finals. 'You can call me the milkshake man' are such inspiring lyrics that the juries will not get

The song is really great imo
I see a lot of people don't really know the significance of this song which is sad.
Like Belgium finally sends a song that showcases a part of culture.
It's a nod to our festival culture and our rave culture we're known for. It reminds lots of people of the time of 2Fabiola or MilkInc

Tbh I think it's a shame that Poland has such a beautiful voice and then they fk up her performance
I hope they get rid of the turning thing she does in the chorus cuz it's meh.

Oofff France idk. I feel like people are kinda starting to get sick of the french ballads (but when they sent the breton song it did the worst ever so idk)

Italy is an interesting take. I really don't like slow songs so I find Italy and Portugal a snooze fest

ngl had to search latvia's song cuz I forgot. It is a very stage-dependent song I think but it will look good. With their nat performance, I did lack them being in sync a bit but I'm confident they cleaned it up.

I do see less people stating they'll vote for Isreal just to spite Palestine supporters.
I also think crowds are going to be less hostile to the delegation, but the EBU did some changes in function of them.
No filming unless in designated areas because Isreal was accused of doing so.
No press releases, because Joost Klein put them on the spot last year...

Like I get the no filming thing, but the no press? That's crazy

I recently saw a good vid on YT to show how Israel has played the victim in Eurovision for years.
Only reason why is because they spend so much money. I read that they spent 2 mil this year on Eurovision.
And the sponsor which i won't name.
I feel like if they kicked the sponsor out and Israel, they'd get many more brands sponsoring
