yeah, like Spanish, especially aquel vs. eso. lol you never know from the context which one they're looking for bc spoiler: there IS no context! just like Vikki's problem with notre vs. nos.

Yeah in that specific case it’s easier to be a Spanish speaker learning English than vice versa. The Spanish side just needs to condense them into one, while English speakers kinda need to learn the idea and usage of the separate ones

I have heard that Chinese languages reuse words a lot, so you don’t need to learn as much. Like how in English you have grape, dry, and raisin as separate words but in mandarin raisin is “grape dry” or something. But I’m very much not an expert in any Asian language so it probably is more complicated than that
