A cheetah cub, just like human babies, feel some pain when their teeth begin to break through the gums. Cheetah cubs use nature’s teething ring - a piece of wood - to ease the pain. Unluke human babies, however, cheetah cub’s teeth begin to appear by three weeks of age.​
